I leaned back against the comfortable sofa.
Kim Woo-in sat beside me and spoke.
“We’re going to explore your missing memories now. Is there anything about hypnosis you’re curious or worried about?”
“Is there any chance I’ll be controlled?”
“Controlling people through hypnosis is fantasy.”
“Then I’m a little worried I might say things I should and shouldn’t say.”
“That’s sedation for an endoscopy. Neither applies here. Hypnosis is simply a state similar to the one just before you fall asleep. You eliminate the background noise and explore your own inner mind, so think of it as something like meditation.”
Kim Woo-in immediately dismissed my pointless concerns.
They took the candy from their mouth and threw it into the trash can.
Wait. What if that attracted ants……?
“Some people are readily hypnotized, while others aren’t. So I can’t promise we’ll learn everything this way. We won’t know until we try.”
“What kind of person is usually easy to hypnotize?”
“People who trust others easily. That means there’s a high chance hypnosis won’t work on you, Do-un.”
“Me?”
“You’re the suspicious type. You question every last thing wherever you go.”
I could not exactly deny it.
“Close your eyes.”
I did as instructed.
White noise like the sound of wind reached me.
