The hospital-room door flew open, and Manager Kwon Mu-seop appeared.
For some reason, Kwon Mu-seop had run here hard enough to be panting. He made straight for the bed where I sat, and I froze with my spoon still held over my porridge.
“Are you all right? Are you conscious?”
“Yes, as you can see…….”
“Thank goodness. Thank goodness…….”
When I swallowed my porridge and answered, Manager Kwon Mu-seop released a long, long breath.
Anyone watching would think you were my older brother.
I stared in bewilderment as Kwon Mu-seop patted his chest like a man who had just lost ten years off his life.
