Once again, the party chose an ordinary inn.

Now that I had a Divine Power filter, going to the Temple wouldn’t kill me, but it was still a small and touching consideration.

“I will stop by the Temple with Inquisitor Daniel and check for news.”

“I’ll also see whether there’s any information about the person you’re searching for, Sir. Given what the Great Master Craftsman warned us about, asking around among ordinary people seems difficult.”

“Thank you.”

“Think nothing of it.”

Even so, I did not volunteer to go to the Temple.

The Divine Power filter kept my HP from dropping, but the mental exhaustion of being stared at by priests remained unchanged.

“I will also stop by the Magic Tower briefly. The rest of you should remain here and rest.”

“Yep.”

For similar reasons, I did not accompany the Archmage to the Magic Tower either.

I did worry about her having to make the round trip alone…

But I was also a little frightened of even going near the place.

From everything I had experienced so far, mages from other regions already tended to have at least one screw loose.

So just how insane was the north if even those people were wary of it?

In any case, for those reasons, we remained at the inn and ordered food.

The first dish to arrive was soup set atop a hot stone so that it would retain its heat for as long as possible.

It was made from broth simmered from bones, with lard, sugar beets, cabbage, and potatoes.
