The Archmage rubbed her hand once more as she felt the heat vanish from her fingertips in an instant.
The sense of weakness that came from pouring out a tremendous amount of Mana all at once, the mental exhaustion from having focused everything into a single point to prevent the Mana from running wild—both were simply too intense.

But apparently the world had no intention of leaving her alone so easily.
Just before the mass of fire struck Hawa directly, an arrow flew in and embedded itself at the agreed-upon location.
It was fortunate Daniel had recovered the arrow from outside the safe zone despite the risk of injury. Otherwise, the ensuing blast of heated wind would have burned both the arrow and the cloth tied to it to ash.

While watching the massive explosion she herself had caused, the Archmage called out to Daniel, who still looked somewhat dazed by what he had just done.
Coming back to his senses, Daniel hurriedly untied the cloth.
