Turning back the clock to the moment when the castle’s movement had been forcibly halted, Commandment judged the situation to be an opportunity of sorts.
She did not know why the castle had stopped moving, but the chances of it being part of Pride’s plan were extremely low.
“Why are you so certain?”
“I am growing tired even of telling you not to outsource your intelligence. Then again, how brilliant could a conclusion produced by that foolish head of yours possibly be? Better that you become a puppet who entrusts all thought to others than make some pointless, erroneous judgment with that head and ruin the grand plan.”
“…….”
After spitting out those thoroughly venomous words, she turned away from the path following the Hero and headed elsewhere.
Her target was the castle’s central control facility.
“Just explain it.”
“Consider what Pride gains and loses by stopping the castle now. Even if you know not so much as the first letter of magic, you should at least have a vague sense of which side outweighs the other.”
Judging from the Demon King’s Castle’s movement speed, it was not yet time for it to have reached the city.
At most, it should have been somewhere around the First Expansion District, or perhaps halfway beyond it.
But had such an awkward location truly been Pride’s objective?
