Until now, there had been no room to care for them because keeping Eve in check had demanded everything they had. But with Eve gone, things were different.
Flames imbued with the power of Purification were more than enough to drive away the Decay Flame now that its master was gone.
“…I’ll release the barrier.”
In the process, the Atoning Fairy was also taken out of the barrier.
The figure that had been lying inside the translucent barrier as though asleep suddenly opened their eyes.
“AAAAAARGH!!”
The first thing to erupt through the shattering barrier was a horrific scream.
It was a desperate, single cry that seemed to scrape across the deepest reaches of the soul, making the people nearby shudder involuntarily.

What followed was the prayer of a Priest who continued pouring out Divine Power despite the feverish intensity of the situation.
