The Glacier Troll.
When it stands upright, it towers around ten meters tall, an enormous creature of ice. Bern claims to have seen one over twelve meters, but that guy’s exaggerations are endless.
These monsters lead a strange life cycle; they enter a semi-dormant state in the depths of the magical domain during the summer and awaken when winter approaches, beginning to move slowly in the cold.
They move alone, and little is known about their population or breeding season.
They usually roam deep within the glacial regions north of Salzho, but occasionally descend to the border between the territory and the magical domain. When that happens, the territory faces severe problems unless they are swiftly dealt with; not only do they attack humans indiscriminately, but their mere presence worsens the surrounding frost.
Why these creatures are called “trolls” is unknown. Their appearance is completely different from the trolls depicted in the tales from the era of the three ancient dragons.
Right, why exactly are they called trolls? Are they even truly alive?
This question of whether Glacier Trolls are actually living beasts has been debated for ages, but the position of the Orthodox Church has always been firm.
