Before the sentries detected the massive movement of Glacier Trolls, someone within the icewall base had noticed the signs a bit earlier.
“Sir Vincent!”
After hearing an unbelievable report from a soldier, Sir Ilma hurried out of the ice tent, nearly colliding with the elderly Vincent.
Already fully armed, Vincent stood facing the snowy plains with a deeply troubled expression.
“When we received the prince’s message, I dismissed it as nonsense, but now… Glacier Trolls are actually coming.”
If a veteran Dekaron Knight was saying it, there was no chance this was a mistake or a mere optical illusion.
“I’ll confirm the situation immediately.”
Sir Ilma climbed up to the icewall and scanned the snowy field.
Indeed, the plains were filled with numerous Glacier Trolls. Despite her more than twenty years of service with the Wolf Knights, she had never seen such a bizarre sight.
The massive ice creatures were moving awkwardly, crawling on their bellies in unison. The sheer strangeness made it almost laughable.
“At my age, I thought I’d seen it all, but I’ve never seen Glacier Trolls gathering like this.”
The white-haired Vincent beside her rubbed his eyes, as if doubting his own sight.
Fortunately, given the trolls’ large size, the sentries had spotted them…
