For a long while after that, Seongjin was buried in a waterfall of divine power.
His body healed in an instant.
Indeed, as they say, the caliber of power is different— the immense divine power made the efforts of Logan and the priests from yesterday seem almost insignificant.
Yet, for some reason, even after his body was fully restored, the cascading torrent of light showed no signs of stopping.
‘How long is this going to go on….’
Seongjin’s mind grew a bit uneasy.
It felt like a meaningless waste of a ‘miracle,’ and besides, being cradled in the arms of what appeared to be a foreign woman was somewhat embarrassing.
But Seongjin decided to let the Holy Emperor do as he pleased for the time being.
Because with each surge of divine power, the trembling he felt in his arm was noticeably diminishing.
“[I’m sorry, my son.]”
Eventually, the Holy Emperor released Seongjin and spoke in a slightly subdued voice.
Hastily unwrapping the bandages from his eyes, Seongjin saw that the Holy Emperor’s eyes had regained their usual calm light.
“[I thought I would never leave you alone for too long, but I ended up abandoning you during the most difficult time.]”
Despite his words, his melancholic aura was palpable, and Seongjin couldn’t help but smile faintly.
