Under everyone’s watchful eyes, Sir Zrya woke less than three minutes after losing consciousness.
It was also the moment when I had neutralized three-quarters of all the barriers and gotten past the greatest hurdle.
“What happened? Explain clearly, from the beginning.”
Sir Sapphire was the first to address the newly awakened Sir Zrya. Considering the man had come flying through the air from several hundred meters up, I’d expected something like Thank goodness you’re safe to come first, but what came out of his mouth instead was an unexpectedly pressing demand.
“I-I made a mistake and nearly fell without a parachute, but Berserk caught me.”
Despite how downright cold that attitude could seem, Sir Zrya answered without any hint of hurt. Well… judging from the occasional urk coming out of him, maybe his head simply wasn’t in any condition to think about things like that in the first place.
“However, Berserk’s parachute was damaged in the process as well, so she chose to remain on the dragon’s back instead of attempting to fly.”
In any case, he explained in detail how he and Berserk had survived and how things had ended up this way.
In other words, he told us everything without leaving anything out—from Berserk slinging Sir Zrya over her shoulder and climbing all the way to the dragon’s head by gripping the gaps around its mouth, to sprinting all the way to its tail through the gale, and finally throwing Sir Zrya toward us from there.
