I forcefully flipped through the pages of the book and paused for a moment at the words that caught my eye.
For some reason, a sigh escaped me at the sentence I hadn’t read in a long time.
So I closed the book I had been reading.
As expected, this kind of escapist reading couldn’t relieve the tension that had built up all the way to the top of my head.
Two days had passed since Intensive Suppression Week ended.
Meanwhile, the casualties in Unit 1 had increased from six to seven.
The condition of the injured was also terrible.
Agents whose arms and legs were shattered beyond repair.
For them, another kind of death sentence had been pronounced.
The smell of death wafted everywhere.
I, too, couldn’t escape that scent.
