‘There is a dragon in the west.’
It was a startling statement. No, perhaps it would be more accurate to call it absurd beyond belief.
The subject Senior Neris had raised was that close to impossible.
What was a dragon?
A creature that had gone extinct thousands of years ago. The guardians of the earth who had passed fire and magic down to humanity. Had beings that great remained alive, there was no possibility that not even a trace of them would have been discovered.
