Did you know that losing your sight broadens your vision?
At first, I thought it was nonsense. The human brain relied overwhelmingly upon sight among the five senses. How, then, could one behold the vast world without eyes?
But from a certain point onward, I gradually spent more time with my eyes closed. More precisely, perhaps it would be accurate to say that ‘I did not particularly care.’
Vision?
It was merely one of the terminals through which I received information. The more one relied upon the scenery visible to the eyes, the farther one strayed from ‘reality.’ The world was also composed of elements the optic nerve could not distinguish.
And so I thought,
Would it not be beneficial to restrict one’s vision from time to time?
“Where did you pick up that piece of knowledge?”
That was the response to my persuasion.
The girl had dark navy hair resembling the night sky. The usually lovable impression of her face had cracked somewhat, and one of the principal causes was the pair of silver-gray eyes staring at me.
Her gaze was full of suspicion.
