Hawkeye stopped massaging his stiff arm and took off the coat he was wearing. The motion exposed arms and shoulders where the contours of his muscles stood out clearly.
“Aren’t you cold like that?”
“This much is fine.”
The land where he had been born was colder than this place. Severed heads put on display there showed no sign of rotting all year round, so there was little more that needed to be said.
“How is the situation?”
“Not very good.”
Hawkeye loosened the muscles knotted with tension as he explained what he was seeing.
