“Berserk.”
“Adventurer?”
After parting with the mages, I went looking for Berserk and Crusher.
According to their usual daily routine, this was their afternoon training time, so they were extremely easy to find.
“Surely that’s not all you’ve got? The Chief Knight isn’t much after all.”
“…It, is not!”
What I hadn’t expected was for Sir Sapphire and Sir Zrya to have joined their training session.
I blinked for a moment as I watched Sapphire and Zrya running alongside Crusher with sandbags strapped to them.
They must have been exerting themselves tremendously. Steam billowed from both their bodies.
“I thought those two were sleeping.”
“If they slept all day, they’d lose muscle. Do you truly think they would do that?”
Fair enough.
I had a record of sleeping two weeks at a time against my will without particularly losing muscle, but I was probably the exception.
“They still look like they’re pushing themselves too hard.”
“Tch. That isn’t pushing themselves too hard. They’re just pathetically weak.”
No, um.
Should we really be the standard of comparison here?
Even as we spoke, I glanced at Berserk, who was doing two-finger handstand push-ups with metal weights hanging all over her body.
No matter how I thought about it, if I had to choose what was abnormal, it wasn’t over there.
It was here.
“So, have you thrown studying aside for today?”
“Well… more or less.”
Either way, this was actually convenient.
