If one knew the story behind it, it was not a subject that could be raised lightly. It was deeply connected to a long-cherished wish pursued by one of the Empire’s noble houses for hundreds of years.
One had only to look at the present. The moment I uttered that word, had the atmosphere surrounding Marquis Findleston across from me not transformed completely?

Some components of the sentence had been omitted, but I understood his meaning without an instant of hesitation.
