Sure enough.
The instant we jumped to opposite sides inside the vortex of Demonic Energy, Satan split into three and pursued us.
The reason for three seemed obvious enough.
Two of the divided bodies were sent after us, while the remaining one headed for the Inquisitor to interfere with the sanctification.
Monsters resembling snakes, though far uglier, chased their respective targets.
“Well, I was about to ask you the same thing.”
But even knowing that, I had no intention of quietly allowing it.
With a single handspring, I launched myself into the air and briefly glanced behind me.
Then, before my legs came back down, I threw Ratel in the Inquisitor’s direction.
‘Go, demon. One million volts.’
[I am not an electric mouse, and I cannot use one million volts. Also, don’t you know it’s one hundred thousand, not one million? Did you even properly watch Pocket Monsters?]
‘Yeah. The legendary part is that you still remember that.’
I gave up memorizing the creatures in that series once there were more than three thousand of them.
During that brief exchange, tremendous Demonic Energy entered the thrown Ratel.
Ratel’s white body transformed into tens of thousands of strands.
Naturally, the end of the mass of threads was adorned with the head of a goat reduced to bone.
Fwoosh!
A gigantic folding fan appeared in the hands of Mephistopheles, who had taken Ratel as her body.
Its ribs were hard as iron.
The face of the fan was paper…
