Yet the majority of them were exactly alike in one respect: the hearty way they poured the alcohol straight down their throats.

Those who emptied their mugs in a single go slammed their hands roughly down onto the wooden table.
The wooden mugs they still held struck the tabletop with a tremendous noise as an added bonus.
Plates that had contained drinking snacks only moments before rattled and shifted several millimeters from their original positions.
“Ahh, this is nice and refreshing.”
“Hot food and cold beer… what a beautiful combination.”

Two dark-skinned people wiped the foam from around their mouths.
One was unbelievably small for someone from the north, while the other was tall and lanky.
“Your barbecue has improved.”
The person sitting opposite them, however, was large even when taking northern origins into account, and unbelievably thickly built considering her race.
The woman bit into the leg of a whole roasted fawn and took a sip of alcohol.
Though calling it a sip was somewhat misleading, considering half of the freshly refilled mug vanished at once.
“Kha!”
“Puh-ha!”
At the exclamation Berserk let out, the girl sitting beside her imitated her by swallowing her own drink and exhaling.
The liquid sloshing inside the girl's mug was not alcohol, but juice made from ground fruit.
