Chains that had appeared completely out of nowhere coiled around my ankle and wrist respectively.
Considering they had materialized in midair without any visible source, they seemed to be magical in nature at the very least, but it was difficult to immediately figure out why they had appeared.
I don’t mean that it was difficult to find the culprit or determine how the chains had been summoned.
It was more that the whole thing was so utterly unexpected that my reason had broken down before I could even make a judgment.
