Just because we had unpacked didn’t mean I could immediately rest.
There was something that became harder and harder to placate the longer I delayed, so I had no choice.
“…I got here within thirty minutes.”

As expected, apparently even that brief amount of time had been enough for a tremendous amount of anger to build up.
Frederick vibrated his vocal cords in a long growl and nibbled hard at my hand. The ground was covered in marks scratched out by his hooves.
“This place is huge. It couldn’t be helped. It isn’t as though I wanted to be late.”

Are horses normally all like this?
Or is this one like this because he comes from some special bloodline?
I completely gave up on one hand and gently stroked the back of his neck as though soothing a lover.
Only after chewing hard enough to leave marks on my glove for quite a while did Frederick finally release my hand.
“If I were an ordinary person, that would’ve bruised…….”
If he’d actually bitten down with all his strength, my hand would’ve been torn apart, so I suppose getting away with this much was fortunate…….
Anyway, this bastard had a temper every bit as filthy as Meister’s.
I barely swallowed the thought before it escaped my throat, knowing Frederick would probably shoulder-check me if he heard it, and took the reins in one hand.
