The Ghost Story taxi is calling for us.
From beyond the gate.
Honk honk.
If we got into that and followed the manual properly, we could definitely make it all the way to Seoul Station….
The problem was how to get into that taxi.
“Stand outside this shop’s gate.”
That was the reason I had looked for a shop with a gate in the first place. The alleyways of Samangdan-gil were too narrow for a taxi to stop in.
“So if we want to call a taxi and get in, we have to step outside the gate….”
But once we went outside the gate, there was no guaranteeing what kind of scene would unfold out there, or whether Manager Lee Jaheon and I would stay safe.
So we had prepared a countermeasure on our side too.
Using merchandise from this shop.
“I was planning to stop by anyway, and since this shop happened to have a gate too, I took care of it all at once.”
I swallowed.
“Group Leader, please proceed as planned.”
“Yes.”
Manager Lee Jaheon slipped a hand into the paper bag he was carrying and tore the packaging open in an instant.
Then the thing that had been included as a free extra alongside the warm socks revealed itself.
A small ball of yarn.
It had probably been included because, befitting a handmade shop, they wanted us to try adding some new stitching to the socks ourselves, but we were going to use it a little differently right…
