“Tamna-bound? What is that?”

“An error? Wow, but that’s kind of creepy.”

Watching the altered cabin footage, the passengers on the high-speed train began to murmur among themselves.

Even so, it still wasn’t serious. It was just the sort of tone people used when something unusual happened during an otherwise boring ride.

…That was, until they truly grasped what kind of incident this was.

“Hey, I got this on video. I was gonna upload it to InHeart— …Huh?”

“What?”

“…The internet’s not working.”

Typical.

“Hey, turn on your phone. Hurry!”

“E-excuse me, but mine says I’m out of service range. Are your calls going through over there?”

“What? Why can’t anyone get in touch with anybody?”

The crowd’s murmuring gradually grew louder.

But Assistant Manager Butterfly, seated in front of me, didn’t so much as twitch, and Senior Associate Dolphin, sitting in the aisle seat beside me, only muttered under her breath.

“Ah, what a pain. Of all times, it had to happen when there are this many civilians around.”

Because this was the classic opening of a Darkness that anyone in our company’s field operations staff would recognize.

And though these people didn’t know it, this Ghost Story wasn’t actually one our company had discovered at all. It was an anomalous phenomenon the government had already identified decades ago and left behind a memo on.

The Mureungdowon Test (tentative name) was a very rare phenomenon that occurred on the Iksan-bound high-speed rail departing from Seoul.

No casualties to date. Disaster classification pending.

But that was also the extent of it.

‘Because there were no casualties!’

The Supernatural Disaster Management Agency usually only registered something as a disaster if people died in a Ghost Story.

Therefore, the memo had concluded with, ‘The Iksan-bound high-speed train was later extended into the Mokpo-bound high-speed train, and it is presumed that the anomaly disappeared.’

However… it had begun again.

Right now, on this train.

“Excuse me! L-look outside!!”

“My God!”
