I opened my eyes, tracing the remnants left behind by the dream.
How many times had I already glimpsed someone else’s memories? I ought to have been getting used to it by now, yet every new anomaly continued to present me with an unfamiliar sensation. Last night alone was a perfect example.
A future that might have come to pass.
And yet, it was not one of the scenes I had witnessed until now.
Because the man from the future had not been there.
How could that be?
I pondered the question alone, but there was no way an answer would simply appear. Even the person upon whom the scene I had witnessed seemed to focus was a mystery.
My nemesis, Delphirem.
She was a woman so beautiful it sent chills down my spine. Surely there could not be two people with such an appearance throughout all of history. I could still feel the afterimage of those blood-red pupils lingering on my retinas.
And so I sank into thought.
Why her, of all people?
There were countless people with whom I had formed connections. Just counting the women who had relationships with the man from the future would already produce quite a number.
Yet none…
