The end of every story was drawing near.
On the night before the decisive battle, I drew my sword one last time. A magnificent blade so keen that even the flickering firelight could not linger upon it, but instead streamed down its edge.
The Heavenly Sword.
It was no mere famed blade. Was it not the weapon that had buried the progenitor of all evil in darkness thousands of years ago? Only after climbing Heavenly Sword Mountain had I been able to obtain this sword.
Perhaps it ought to be called proof that I had become a ‘Master’ in the truest sense.
It was also a sword that carried my vow to honor the Sword Duke’s will and become a guardian of the Empire. Even so, I often wondered whether I was truly capable of shouldering this responsibility.
Evil was mighty.
