The Hyunmoo Teams of the Supernatural Disaster Management Agency were the ones who directly experienced all kinds of bizarre Ghost Stories.
It was a little different from initial investigation or cleanup work. Because in the process of rescuing survivors, they often ended up being steeped in the Ghost Story itself, getting a full taste of it.
But a case like today was rare.
“T-Team Leader.”
“Shh.”
Haegeum, the team leader of Hyunmoo 3 Team, pressed down on her team member’s head.
[Flower Golden Resort]
It had already been five hours since they arrived at this bizarre place.
And the agent had noticed quite a lot of strange incongruities.
All the staff at this resort were human.
And except for the Agency rookie standing at the front desk, most of the people they had found seemed to be maintaining their sanity.
No, at least on the surface, that was how it looked.
Was that even possible in a supernatural disaster?
“B-but there’s another weird one too.”
The team member whispered.
“The employee who takes the room-service calls!”
Their gazes turned toward the area beside the front desk.
“Hello, I’m Ladybug, the employee in charge of room service!”
The cheerful employee introducing himself as Ladybug over the phone was wearing not a ladybug at all, but a mask imitating the mascot of this bizarre resort.
…Like the cleanup-team rookie.
‘What on earth happened here?’
Only those two, the ones who seemed to have had their human selves erased, were wearing mascot masks.
When asked whether they had been “corrected” for not doing their jobs properly, everyone shook their heads.
“No, it’s not like that!”
“If you had to call it anything… kindness, maybe?”
Kindness?
The strange choice of word sent a wave of wrongness through her.
But beyond that, no one gave a proper answer…
