The next morning.
Sungjin woke feeling astonishingly refreshed.
He had only closed his eyes for a short while, yet his body had somehow recovered so completely that it was almost unbelievable.
Well, that’s something. Still, I feel like I’ve forgotten something important…
As he sat there blankly blinking, the Demon King launched himself off the lamp and flew toward him.
[Lee Sungjin! Are you going to the training grounds now? You’re not taking a nap today?]
“Yeah, no nap.”
[Great! Then let’s hurry up and go!]
And so, with the insignificant little flame carefully perched atop his head, Sungjin headed for the training grounds feeling slightly awkward.
Aside from the servants flinching in surprise at the sight of a prince whose crown appeared to be blazing, it was a remarkably peaceful morning.
“Your Highness, you’re here!”
“Oh, Lord Red! Good morning!”
Sir Kurt and the resident knights greeted him brightly, as always.
After casually waving back at them, Sungjin sat down in a corner of the training grounds and prepared to meditate quietly.
“By the way, how long are you planning to stay on my head? I’m about to meditate, so get down already.”
