Owen was bewildered.
It had already been unexpected that Newbie had followed him all the way here, but he had never imagined the boy would dispose so easily of a Mechanical Soldier that had forced Owen to flee helplessly.

He knew that after recently suffering from a fever, Newbie’s Aura had changed in a peculiar way.
But even if it possessed slightly different properties, weren’t those flames still a type of Aura?
“Newbie. How are you using Aura? There isn’t even the slightest trace of Aura in this world.”
Owen’s voice was urgent.
Taking Aura away from a skilled Aura User was extraordinarily crippling. Having been forced to run around for hours while rendered so powerless, he had every reason to feel desperate.
But instead of answering Owen’s question, the boy looked in an entirely different direction.

Newbie was currently looking toward a high-rise building that had been split in half.
To Owen, it looked like nothing more than a crumbling ruin, but apparently the boy had noticed something unusual there.
For a moment, a strange silver gleam rippled through his eyes.
“Stay back for a bit.”

When Owen asked in confusion, Newbie drew Nutcracker and lightly jerked his chin.
He was pointing toward the outer wall where Owen and Benjamin had been hiding until moments ago.
