“……I don’t want to.”
Emma’s brows furrowed. It was probably a story hard for her to accept.
There was no need to lay out lengthy counterarguments. I just decided to repeat what I had said.
“I told you, I won’t lose anything… I don’t want to lose you either.”
Then Emma scoffed. As if she had heard a very amusing joke.
“Another stupid remark. Only now saying it, but not losing anything is impossible……”
“What about you?”
While panting, with the one question I spat out.
Emma moved her lips again but stopped. Was it an illusion that those pale green eyes staring intently at me seemed particularly deep?
“Now, how much would you pay to save me?”
