An ashen blizzard raged through the marble forest where the sun had vanished.
It had already been several days since the Academy was isolated, yet no significant contact had come from the outside. Only the occasional blizzards served as reminders that the season was still winter.
The sole consolation was that resources, including food, were plentiful. The Academy had traditionally been a place attended by numerous noble offspring, and as such, it had stockpiled a great deal of supplies for any contingencies.
Some claimed that, given its position as a strategic hub in the center of the continent, the Empire had stored them there with the intention of using it as a logistics base in times of crisis.
But at this point, such speculations held no meaning whatsoever. In this isolated world, neither the Empire, nor the Holy Kingdom, nor the Ten Southern Kingdoms existed.
However, even in the Academy, which had prepared most supplies in abundance, there was one thing lacking. And it was something absolutely essential for enduring long-term isolation.
