To Job, whom I miss.
There has been a great deal to do lately, so it has been some time since I last picked up my pen.
First, I am doing well.
Following Tey to Bemurchen was an excellent… perhaps not excellent, but not a bad choice either.
For one thing, the weather is warm.
When I was in the north, I caught a cold once every two months, but I do not think that will ever happen here.
It is truly wonderful.
Most importantly, the city itself has recovered greatly.
I am told that the damage it suffered several years ago has not completely disappeared, but even to my eyes, I can see every resident refusing to submit to the wounds of that day and moving forward one day at a time.
It may still look devastated to some people, but to me it is a truly dazzling and magnificent city.
It may sound somewhat inappropriate to say this, but the fact that all the buildings collapsed has also brought certain advantages.
For one thing, the confusing and tangled streets have been redesigned into a planned city, and new technologies and forms of civilization are being introduced here first on a trial basis.
Given enough time, I suspect this may become the most advanced city on the entire continent.
Moreover, the addition of the meteor known as Tey has accelerated that development even further.
Water supply and sewage systems are now considered basic, while streetlamps and something called a surface…
