“I’ve always wondered about this. Can’t you use the name written on a contract?”
I asked while watching the jester put the contract away.
Perhaps once a contract had been concluded, a name could no longer be taken even if it became known. The jester showed no particular reaction despite looking directly at the contract with the name written upon it.
The name was invisible now because it had been forgotten from the memory, but back then, the jester should have been able to see it.
