“Demon Knight? I feel like I’ve heard that somewhere before…….”
“He’s, uh, about this tall, and his hair’s a different color on each side. I heard he was definitely in this city. Haven’t you seen him?”
The Sland man raised a hand above his head to give them a rough idea of the man’s height. The feature he added afterward was the most conspicuous one, something that made the person easy to distinguish from ordinary people.
“Different-colored hair on each side? That’s kind of unusual—oh.”
“If it’s someone with different colors on each side… wasn’t that the guy from earlier?”
And, coincidentally, Crusher and Hawkeye did know someone who matched that description.
Or, more precisely, they had crossed paths with him before.
“Oh! You’ve seen him?”
“Yeah. Once at the Temple earlier, and once on the street.”
“Then do you know where he is now?”
At their answer, the man shot to his feet and planted his hands on the table, visibly excited.
Having his face suddenly pushed closer was a little overwhelming, but the intensity in his expression also showed how hard he had been searching, so it was tolerable enough.
“Sorry, but we don’t know where he is. We just happened to see his face while coming and going. He’s got a pretty memorable appearance, you know?”
“And his personality seemed just as good as his appearance was striking.”
