CLANG!

Crusher was the first to lower her body and attempt to hook Berserk’s leg.

But the attempt failed when Berserk drove her axe into the ground with the blade facing downward.

Crusher’s leg kicked the axe head with tremendous force, and the instant she realized the attempt had failed, she sprang backward with the agility of a cat.

Tap!

Naturally, Berserk had no intention of simply letting Crusher retreat.

She effortlessly ripped the axe from the ground and swung it.

Apparently she still remembered the rules, because she held it so the shaft rather than the bladed side would strike Crusher’s shoulder.

It was fortunate the weapon had not been designed with a second blade opposite the axe head.

Only iron fittings covered that blunt side as it swept through the air at high speed.

CLANG!

In the end, Crusher seemed to decide there was no avoiding the blow and blocked it with her gauntleted hands.

She bent her knees and leaned her waist backward until her body was almost flattened against the ground, catching the axe between her crossed arms before finally knocking it away.

Using nothing but core strength, she snapped her torso upright in an instant, sprang like a frog, and threw a punch.

Bang!

Berserk extended a hand, smoothly caught it, and gradually brought it to a stop so the impact would not carry through to her body.

Whoosh!
