As the earsplitting siren blared, I took a moment to assess the situation.
Then I realized I had made a terrible mistake.
While the Security Chief dragged me away, I had hurriedly sent a Message to Kwak Hanmuk.
…I had sent a Message only to Kwak Hanmuk.
Amid the chaos, Kwak Hanmuk would never have thought to share the situation with Je Hyuno.
It would have been difficult for a Prison Guard to contact Prisoner No. 13 privately, especially after my Message urged Kwak Hanmuk to reach me as quickly as possible.
Thus, Je Hyuno was left alone in Sector X, knowing only that the Recruit had been taken away by Security Chief in an unusual atmosphere.
There was no reason for him to wait patiently.
Naturally, he had broken out—and apparently freed the other Creatures in the process.
Since the Main Quest was to “help the Creatures find true freedom,” it was a defensible choice.
It was also the best decision that could be made in Je Hyuno’s situation.
However, freeing every Creature in a jailbreak led to a Bad Ending.
Unable to escape the remote island in the middle of the sea, they would wander until the Prison Guards caught them and threw them back into their cells.
