“What brings our ever-so-busy executive director all the way onto my home turf?”
Jeong Gilgaon crooked one corner of his mouth.
Jeong Mira, the second child of Jeong Myeongjae, chairman of <Seongjin>.
She currently served as executive director of Seongjin Electronics, the heart of Seongjin Group—in other words, she was Jeong Gilgaon’s most formidable rival.
Jeong Mira addressed her youngest brother with feigned friendliness.
“Don’t talk as if I’ve come somewhere I’m not supposed to. If you haven’t eaten yet, Director, why don’t you have dinner with me?”
As befitted the daughter said to resemble their father the most, her overbearing tone was the spitting image of Chairman Jeong’s in his younger days.
Hiding the way his insides twisted into knots, Jeong Gilgaon smiled again.
“That would be difficult. As you can see, I was just heading out. Besides, I don’t usually share a table with people richer than me. If I somehow ended up paying for the meal, I’d be so wronged I wouldn’t be able to sleep.”
