The door closed amid fathomless darkness.
Mid-level Administrator 7-A of the Babel Network silently backed away.
Following his steps, the dark space folded over itself in layer after layer, until at last a long corridor appeared.
A space with no sun, and therefore no day,
no moon, and therefore no night.
And yet, with an incalculable number of stars alone, it was always overflowing with light.
This was the interstice between the Astral Realm and the Material Realm.

It was a space where only one enormous holy temple existed, and the only beings who came and went were Babel administrators who possessed the proper qualifications.
