“Yes?”
“A note came into Car 7… they said I should pass it on to you.”
“…!”
Eun Haje accepted the note the station employee quietly held out to her, making sure to avoid the others.
And at the employee’s meaningful glance, she immediately understood who had written it.
‘That brat Soleum.’
He had gone pale as a sheet, barely managed a greeting, dashed off to Car 8, then gotten off alone at another station—only to leave a note behind?
“Is he in Car 7 by any chance?”
“No. He did not board the train. He only left that behind and got off again. I’ll be going now.”
What was going on?
Watching the station employee leave the car, Eun Haje quickly called over Ryu Jaekwan.
“What is it?”
Ryu Jaekwan had just returned after being pulled away to do some heavy lifting, and surprisingly enough, he had adjusted to this train shelter fairly well.
He no longer gave off the blatantly suspicious air of someone determined to dig up the working principles and secrets of this train shelter, either.
Though maybe he was thinking about his teammates or family who were probably still outside—sometimes his eyes darkened.
‘Feels like he’s getting a little more flexible.’
Eun Haje judged that to be a good change. At this rate, he would grow well.
…If only he could make it out of here alive.
‘Damn.’

She hadn’t known she could still crave smoking even in a dead body.
Anyway, Assistant Manager Eun Haje nudged Ryu Jaekwan and whispered softly.
“…It’s from Roe Deer.”
“…!”
“Sit like this for a second.”
“Yes.”
Eun Haje hid the note using Ryu Jaekwan’s large frame as a sort of screen as he hurriedly turned, and together they checked its contents.
