I remember when I first opened my eyes in the subway of Segwang Special City.
The relief of waking up in a human body, the confusion, and the skin-crawling terror.
Even the misery of dying at the end with a noose around my neck.
But at some point, all of those sensations dulled and blurred.
Because I come back anyway.
Almost like a game.
Even while thinking the things I experienced in Segwang Special City were horrifying, at the same time I hadn’t gone around feeling the terror of survival, like I was walking on thin ice the way I did in the Dark.
Before I knew it, I had even started thinking of taking euthanasia pills and dying almost like a means of transportation to the outside.
That unconscious complacency that, even in the worst-case scenario, it felt like no one would actually die.
And so I was forced to face the result.
The exploration personnel trapped inside a Ghost Story with their consciousness left intact in dead bodies.

[Oh, even in dead bodies, they will probably still think and move here as though they were alive.]
[Even if their entire bodies rot away until nothing but bones remain, perhaps those bones will still be able to clatter around and move. Or perhaps, as the nerves and muscles rot, they won’t be able to move at all? Come to think of it, if the brain and bones were separated, we might even be able to confirm which side the consciousness remains in!]
