The land after the storm had passed was silent.
It was a place where the exchanges of four superhumans, each reaching the level of ‘Master,’ had intersected. It wouldn’t have been strange if the terrain had changed, if cracks had appeared in space itself, or if one dimension of the unconscious had collapsed.
Nevertheless, the wilderness was utterly silent.
The reason was simple. Because an even stronger existence had intervened, one capable of suppressing that immense power.
Commonly known as the ‘Made God (Deus Ex Machina).’
It was the millennium-long aspiration of the empire, the final blade forged by humanity. In terms of martial prowess, it was on par with Delfirem, who could single-handedly bring down half the world.
A monster that even ‘Masters’ had no choice but to yield to.
Of course, if they went all out, the story would be different, but the four had merely engaged in a skirmish that was nothing more than a ‘greeting.’ For that level, the man had no need to exert his full power.
It was just that the man’s martial prowess, revealed in that fleeting moment, was blindingly dazzling.
Silence settled for a while. And so it continued for some time.
