The Academy is called the ‘forge of humanity.’
It gathers talented individuals and nurtures them into excellent human resources. They become influential figures in various countries, advancing civilization, and also grow into pillars that will become the future of humanity.
However, the process of sifting out the genuine gems is somewhat cruel.
Every year, grades are evaluated, and students below a certain rank receive ‘retention’ processing and are sent back home. As a result, the number of upperclassmen at the Academy is significantly fewer compared to underclassmen.

The place I moved to was also one of the privileges given only to upperclassmen. Upperclassmen in the Magic Faculty or Alchemy Faculty are assigned ‘workshops’ inside each faculty’s building, and the facilities or area also vary depending on grades.
