An exchange difficult even to follow with the eyes.
Whenever a hand swept out, fractures erupted in empty air. Whenever a step fell, the world hummed and screamed. After witnessing such a sight, who would dare wonder about the process?
There was no need to know the details. Were the results immediately visible not enough?

Impossible. It was not a question of will, but ability. Most humans would be torn apart merely by approaching.
Then why was fighting spirit returning to the soldiers’ pupils?
