“Good to meet you. I’m Kim Si-gyun, Team Leader of Rescue–Suppression Team 1 in the Emergency Response Unit of the Awakened Management Bureau of the Republic of Korea. For the past week, I was also the instructor you all said you wanted to kill.”
Applause and cheers broke out.
A few of the more outgoing ones booed in good fun.
Kim Si-gyun gave a faint laugh.
“You’ve worked hard. From here on, we won’t be meeting as instructor and trainees, but hunter to hunter out in the field. I won’t be talking down to you like this anymore.”
A week at the training camp.
Day after day of high-intensity sessions had stripped off a good bit of the raw, green smell from the once-clueless prospective hunters.
At this level, they’ll at least pass for people.
Hunters grow up on the battlefield anyway, so I’m not expecting too much right now.
