It was 6 p.m., late afternoon, when the sun had started to set.
A darkening sunset glow fell even across the entrance of a certain building in Seoul.
The cold, clean first-floor space had a modern structure.

This was the lobby of Baekilmong Co., Ltd.’s annex.
But this barren space, which should originally have been quiet and desolate, was now somewhat lively with the murmur of people.

Several dozen young office workers in black suits had gathered there, greeting one another.
Their faces were bright with anticipation and nerves.
