“A year.”
At those words, a sigh slipped out.
‘No wonder.’
It’d been strange from the start—from the moment I met the Poison Phoenix. The way she moved as if this place were familiar, for one.
The cave’s condition and the hideout’s setup, too. Those weren’t things you could put together in a day or two.
Even so—
‘A whole year is pushing it.’
A whole year?
That made no sense. If the difference were a few days, I could at least try to understand.
‘A year, she said.’
A full year.
“Are the others the same?”
“…Why are you asking that.”
“Answer first.”
“About that long, yes—since we fell into this hell.”
So the others too. It didn’t just apply to the Poison Phoenix.
‘…A year, seriously.’
How could there be a gap of an entire year? I couldn’t wrap my head around it.
‘The Blood Demon’s doing?’
Even this? He could do something like that? In my past life, I’d never experienced this.
