The three gates of Heavenly Sword Mountain, collectively known as the ‘Three Gates,’ begin halfway up the mountain and continue upward one after another.
Starting with the ‘Gate of Swiftness’ led by Gong and continuing all the way to the ‘Gate of Heaviness’ led by Heo, it would not have been an exaggeration to call the path between them an ‘ascent route.’
It was something one could not help but realize naturally while walking along the increasingly narrow and treacherous trail.
There had to be some intention hidden behind this difficult path.
Otherwise, it made no sense.
Over the course of several thousand years, there was no reason they would have failed to maintain such a steep and uneven route.
It was more reasonable to assume that it had deliberately been left that way for some particular purpose.
Perhaps, in a sense, this too was part of their training.
Whenever one dug into the mountain’s difficult-to-understand traditions, did they not usually lead back to something like that?

That was the very reason Heavenly Sword Mountain existed.
To ascend toward the heavens and uncover the secret of the ‘Heavenly Sword.’
Simply put, it would not have been wrong to say that no other purpose existed.
