Rising and setting is the way of the world.
The sun, the moon, life—none are exceptions. Just as the moon wanes after waxing, when the sweltering summer passes, the time of the sun gradually begins to shorten.
Thus, the season is now autumn.
Not long ago, the sunset would have been in full swing, but the sunlight had long set along with the falling leaves. The lights illuminating the dim interior were only lanterns and low-grade magic lamps.
Looking back, it was a shabby household.
I had lived as a low-ranking noble until now. Naturally, there was no room for luxury. Now, gold coins were overflowing, but in the midst of constantly being indebted to the infirmary, I hadn’t even thought of decorating my room.
