This Privacy Policy explains, in plain language, how MUGEX handles information when you use mugexnovels.com. MUGEX is the name used for this reading website. Privacy requests can be sent through the Support page.
Information we use
Depending on how you use the site, WordPress and MUGEX may process account details (such as name, username, email and an optional profile photo), reading progress, saved/liked/followed Novels, Coin balance and chapter-unlock records, ratings, chapter comments, notification preferences, support requests, security logs and technical information needed to operate the site.
Why we use it
We use this information to provide accounts and reading features, remember your progress, deliver notifications you explicitly choose, moderate comments, answer support requests, protect the site, diagnose problems and operate any purchase features made available through WooCommerce.
Profile photos
If you upload a profile photo, it is stored as a WordPress Media image and can be shown on your MUGEX account, in the account menu and alongside chapter comments you post. Do not upload an image you do not want to be publicly visible in those contexts. Removing your custom photo from My Account removes the MUGEX-managed attachment and returns the account to its previous WordPress/Gravatar avatar.
Email notifications
Save and Like do not subscribe you to email. Follow enables chapter alerts for that Novel, and the separate MUGEX updates option enables occasional site/new-series messages. You can change these choices from My Account.
Payments and service providers
When purchases are available, Stripe handles the payment details required for checkout. Supported methods can include card, Apple Pay and Google Pay depending on the reader’s device and Stripe availability. MUGEX receives the payment status, reference and purchase information needed to credit Coins, but does not ask for or store full card numbers. Hosting, email delivery, analytics or security providers may process limited technical data when they are used to operate the site.
Cookies and local storage
The site uses technical storage for sign-in, security and reading preferences. Other analytics or optional technologies may require a separate consent choice where applicable. See the Cookie Policy.
Retention and your choices
We keep data only as long as needed for the relevant account, support, security or legal purpose. You can update account information and notification choices from My Account. For access, correction or deletion requests that are not available there, use Support.
Changes
This policy may be updated when MUGEX features or service providers change. The date above will be updated when material changes are published.
