The guest room was located at the eastern end of the third floor.
The room was furnished with a slightly large bed adorned with a rectangular canopy, windows where the bars elegantly decorated the glass, and a desk placed in front of them. It was neither luxurious nor shabby.
The heavy-toned wooden furniture and deep wine-colored bedding seemed just right for hosting a dignified and ascetic priest guest.
However, perhaps due to the influence of the tragic story, the room was dim even in broad daylight.
Although one wall was almost entirely made up of windows, the tall garden trees and ivy creeping up the glass blocked much of the light, making the illumination insufficient.
“Isn’t it a bit dark?”
