Religion is based on blind obedience.
Faith is an irrational emotion. The judgment to throw away even one’s life for an unseen God couldn’t possibly be rational. Nevertheless, religion has always persisted in human history.
For the community, to achieve a broader sense of solidarity.
Or, religion has been mobilized to concretize the realm of morality that cannot be controlled by laws and regulations. However, setting aside these scholars’ detailed arguments, for the majority of believers, the truth of religion was only one.
God exists.
Even their own unreasonable circumstances, unexplained natural disasters, are controlled under the great God’s will. The truth of the world that those who believe in religion desire is there.
Sometimes, criticism is leveled that this function of religion is abused by the vested interests. But no one denies the fact that the existence of God is sustained by the believers’ wishes.
Thus, proving God’s existence became the long-cherished desire of all religions.
The Heavenly God Church was no different.
All believers wanted their faith to be rewarded. They hoped their sacrifices and prayers were not meaningless. And at the end of this cruel reality, salvation awaits—that’s what the saints wanted to believe more than anyone.
Therefore, now having witnessed a miracle with their own eyes, how could they not kneel?
