The gateways known as the ‘Three Gates’ lead up to the summit of Heavenly Sword Mountain.
Among them, the ‘Gate of Swiftness’ is the first, located closest to the mid-slope of the mountain. After passing through the remaining two gateways, one can reach the peak of the mountain where the Grand Instructor resides.
However, the order of the Three Gates does not necessarily serve as a measure of the trainee’s proficiency.
“You will receive basic training methods at the Gate of Swiftness, and afterward, you may freely choose the gate where you wish to train.”

Due to its position as the first gate, the ‘Gate of Swiftness’ also serves to accept beginners into the ‘Sword Circle,’ but the Three Gates are structured to teach trainees in equal relationships.
In other words, it meant that even after completing basic training, one could remain at the Gate of Swiftness.
Furthermore, it also implied that more time was needed to learn the essence of the swift sword.
In fact, unlike the name ‘gateway,’ the Gate of Swiftness took a form closer to a grand hall. It was a place where numerous trainees gathered to handle training and lodging.
